Record terminal sessions on the command line and share them with a shortcode. The recording software and the server for sharing sessions are open source. The service of the official server is free, and it’s also possible to set up your own server instance.

Asciinema is a command line program available for macOS, Linux and BSD derivatives. It saves recordings in a data file — locally or on a server. Working locally is convenient for testing, you can play back the recordings directly on the command line. To share a session as a video with the shortcode of Perplex, you need to save it on a server — the shortcode works and has only been tested with the official one.
